£6.98

That was the grand total of the new outfit I bought this afternoon. For anyone that knows me (and dear reader you will soon catch on) I adore clothing. In fact it is probably classed as obsession as I cant walk past Topshop without going inside, "just to have a look."
With my meagre student budget I really shouldnt be shopping in the land of £25 T-shirts and £40 skirts, so today I made the leap and bought an outfit from H&M. I am VERY impressed with the price of it and felt extremely smug as skipped past Topshop swinging my shopping bag. Okay so the skipping past part was a lie (I skipped inside) but back to my bargain hunting which I am sure you are on tenterhooks to read about.

My purchases today were:
One long, slighty baggy T-shirt with attractive print- £3.99
Black, lace-trimmed cycling shorts £2.99

No, it is not a foolish typing error on my part you really did just read the words cycling and shorts. Now I myself scoffed, just last week, at what could well be considered a fashion faux pas but once you get them on they actually look pretty good. This could just be the 90's child inside me wanting to bring back the t-shirt/shorts combo or perhaps the fact that for the first time in many months I have tanned legs (not real, garnier summer body) and want to show them off. Either way there is no denying that soon many of you will be wearing lace trimmed cycling shorts. If you are still not quite sure try wearing them underneath a pair of shorts Mini Mouse-esque. Topshop also have an selection but at £2.99 I would definately embrace your inner kid and pay a visit to H&M.

My thighs...

are aching. This is not through over zealous activity on the exercise bike or any other form of exercise usually associated with thigh muscles. No, it is because my shower head has broken. More accurately the thing that controls the height of the shower head has decided to give up behaving and taken on a mind of its own.

It started off swinging to one side when I was trying to rinse the shampoo out of my hair, meaning I had to follow its watery path like a demented person, scuttling about the shower cubicle. Not content with spraying to the left it decided to slide down to just above my waist; cue a ten minute struggle. Me vs shower head. The shower head won. I had to rinse the conditioner out of my hair in a half squatting position. On the plus side my thighs are marginally firmer than they were pre shower. Every cloud and that.

Oh and yes, I do realise this is my second post of the day and all I have written about is coach trip and a broken shower. However as it is only day one I doubt I have very many readers ie. none, so I'm not too worried.

post one.

I don't have a particular theme for this blog as the title may suggest. I think I am going to use it as a kind of diary minus the boring parts that nobody wants to hear about like "Got up at 9. It was raining." (I got up at 12 and it was sunny, just incase you are interested)

Anyway for my first post I am simply going to descibe a typical monday in my life as a student. I dont have any obligations or responsibilities on a monday which is brilliant because I never have that horrible feeling on a sunday night that monday morning is looming.
So on this particular morning I watched multiple episodes of coach trip on 4OD, whilst drinking a cup of tea out of my favourite Starbucks mug- no questions on how I acquired the mug thankyou.
As I was enjoying my brew I thought, how bloody brilliant is Brendan? For those of you who have never watched Coach Trip (why?!) he is the majorly camp tour guide on the programme in which seven couples get on a coach that tours Europe and they vote each other off. My favourite quote today was by Phil "I've never heard of Mozart before."
So the lesson for you all today is watch coach trip, you will not be sorry.
